Summary

The Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Construction Manager is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing a variety of project-related tasks from inception to close-out. This role involves assisting in the development of project estimates, reviewing electrical and instrumentation drawings, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meeting specifications. The ideal candidate will lead I&E Field Teams, provide team oversight, and ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality standards

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Execution: Assist in the development of estimates for the cost plan and project schedule. Review electrical and instrumentation drawings to ensure compliance and feasibility. Create, track, and maintain construction schedules and milestones.

  • Team Leadership: Lead the I&E Field Teams, providing oversight and direction to ensure project objectives are met. Work closely with contractors to monitor work quality and ensure adherence to specifications.

  • Pre-Construction Activities: Participate in all pre-construction activities, ensuring that projects are well-planned and executed efficiently.

  • Safety and Compliance: Support and comply with all safety, health, environmental, and process safety procedures. Ensure all team members and contractors adhere to established quality systems.

  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Troubleshoot issues within instrument, electrical, and control systems. Execute work orders and preventative maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.

  • Continuous Improvement: Provide proactive input and solutions for the continuous improvement of the Engineering and Operations organization. Participate in root cause analysis and suggest improvements to plant efficiency, quality, and safety.

  • Documentation and Inspection: Maintain accurate facility documentation for changes. Perform routine equipment inspections to ensure operational integrity.
